Incorporating Frankincense Frereana into your daily routine is simple yet transformative. Add a few drops to your diffuser to create an ambiance of peaceful reverence, or mix it with carrier oil for a soothing massage. For skincare, it can be mixed with your favorite cream or lotion, but always remember to do a patch test before full application. Frequently Asked Questions
Is Frankincense Frereana comparable to doTERRA’s Frankincense essential oil?
  • Frankincense-Frereana is a specific species of frankincense essential oil with the latin binomial Boswellia frereana. The Frankincense essential oil coming from doTERRA is a blend of four different Frankincense essential oils (carterii, sacra, papyrifera, and frereana). Although doTERRA’s blend of frankincense essential oils does contain frereana, it has very different properties and affinities because it contains other types of frankincense essential oil. Therefore, we do not believe that it is comparable. We would say a better comparison would be our Frankincense Around The World oil.
What is Frankincense essential oil good for?
  • Frankincense frereana essential oil is great for promoting healthy skin, supporting the body’s natural healing process (especially with damaged skin), and is especially useful in aromatherapy with emotional and mental healing. The frereana species of frankincense is deeply rooted in history with worship, meditation, and wound healing. Because of this, it is wonderful to use with many different types of topical applications. It also has an uplifting aroma that can create a peaceful environment when in times of stress.
How to use Frankincense essential oil?
  • Frankincense essential oil can be used dermally, internally, and via inhalation. One way to use Frankincense is by combining two drops of Frankincense-Frereana with 1 teaspoon carrier oil (like coconut oil) and using it as a massage oil on swollen joints. You can also use Frankincense internally by creating a capsule (you can buy veggie capsules online) and adding one drop Frankincense-Frereana to carrier oil and sealing the capsule to help support a healthy immune system. Finally, you can put Frankincense-Frereana in your water-based diffuser with Vetiver and Lavender to create a grounding, soothing experience as you meditate or pray.
Is Frankincense essential oil good for skin?
  • Frankincense-Frereana essential oil is great for the skin - because of its chemical components and constituents, it has a high affinity for the skin. It is best known for using topically with mature skin, scar tissue, postoperative wound healing (after stitches are removed), acne, and dry skin. You can use Frankincense-Frereana to support healthy skin by placing 20 drops essential oil into a 15 ml dropper bottle, filling halfway with aloe vera gel, and topping off with vitamin E oil.
What essential oil goes with Frankincense?
  • Because Frankincense comes from a resin and is extracted from the frankincense tree, Frankincense goes well with many woodsy oils. However, because Frankincense is known as a supportive oil, it can boost the properties of other oils, making it a great match with just about any essential oil. We recommend trying Frankincense for sleep with Lavender and Cedarwood-Atlas. You can also try creating a more musky blend by combining Frankincense with Patchouli, Pine, Cedarwood-Himalayan and Cypress.

My must have oil!!

Frankincense Frereana is my go to for its muktiple healing properties and beautiful aroma. I use it along with Rosemary and Castor oil daily after showering as a whole body oil for prevention of skin and breast cancers. I've had a number of skin cancers in the past but none since following this protocol suggested by several naturopathic doctors. I'm never without these oils!!! Thank you Eden's Garden for excellent quality essential oils!!

The best!

I absolutely LOVE the frankincense here! I use the carterii, sacra, and the serrata. I mix all three with a carrier oil (my fave is extra virgin olive) and use all over my body. It is so very nice on my face after washing, and splashing with aloe. My skin loves it. Thank you Eden's Garden, for such wonderful oils!
