Frequently Asked Questions
How to use Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil?
  • There are several ways to effectively use Eucalyptus essential oil and obtain its benefits, including 1.) Add 10 drops to your essential oil diffuser per 100 ml of water to improve respiratory health, boost immunity and even reduce unwanted odors. 2.) Add 10 drops to an Essential Oil Inhaler and take it with you for on-the-go therapeutic use. 3.) Create a spray by combining 20 drops Eucalyptus and 1 tablespoon 190-proof grain alcohol in a glass spray bottle. After a few hours, add 3 tablespoons of distilled water. Spray onto surfaces and in the air to refresh your space.
What is Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil?
  • Eucalyptus radiata is native to Australia although it can grow in similar temperate environments. Our essential oil is steam distilled from trees in South Africa from the leaves of the tree. The essential oil is clear and thin and carries itself at the forefront of any blend as a top note. The difference between radiata and globulus varieties is the look of the tree and leaves. Eucalyptus radiata has narrow and shorter leaves than globulus and the trees can grow up to 150 feet tall although most are found about 40-50 feet in height and grow in sandy soil.
What are the benefits of Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil?
  • Like the other Eucalyptus oils, Eucalyptus radiata has a camphorous, cooling, refreshing, medicinal and slightly sweet, green aroma. It also has an abundance of therapeutic uses which makes it ideal to use in many blends and sometimes considered gentler than Eucalyptus globulus. It is often used in steam blends, diffusers and chest rubs when feeling under the weather and to help open up breathing. Its also promoted as an antimicrobial and antiseptic essential oil. As an analgesic and antiinflammatory, a massage oil made with Eucalyptus can help reduce physical discomfort and pain.
What’s the difference between Eucalyptus Radiata and Eucalyptus Globulus?
  • Eucalyptus- Globulus is the most popular and well-known of all Eucalyptus leaf oils. It has a medicinal, vibrant and refreshing aroma that cools and soothes, thanks to its high cineole content. This variation blends well with other oils such as Frankincense, Peppermint, Lavender, Lime, Lemongrass Tea Tree and Rosemary essential oil. Eucalyptus- Radiata oil has a softer punch, with more cool, citrusy notes. But it’s perfect for users who want to breathe deeply, or simply wish to support their general wellness.
What blends well with Eucalyptus essential oil?
  • Eucalyptus essential oil varieties are quite versatile. These oils blend well with tree oils such as Cedarwood, Cypress and Pine. Spices and herbs such as Coriander, Cumin and Ginger, Juniper, Peppermint, Rosemary and Thyme can enhance different aspects of Eucalyptus oils - such as strengthening the antimicrobial properties or the respiratory abilitiesin a blend. Citrus and florals add a softness to the strength of the medicinal quality and we suggest trying it with Geranium-Rose and Lavender, Grapefruit and Lemon.

This chemotype of eucalptyus has slightly less 1,8 cineole and it wonderful for anyone who wants to experience all of the benefits and wonder of eucalyptus in a more tempered manner. I use it almost like a vapor rub diluted in coconut oil or inhaled when I'm sick and feeling stuffy.

Smells wonderful!

This smells so good! I don’t love the typical medicinal eucalyptus smell so I thought I’d give this one a try. I’m so glad I did. I use this on bug bites.
