- Essential oils are powerful, concentrated substances so a little goes a long way. Two of the most effective ways to use them are by way of inhalation and topical use. Ingesting Coriander essential oil is not the optimal way to achieve its benefits as it lacks nutrients found in the whole herb. What’s more, the essential oil is often far more expensive than the herb that produces it. Therefore, we recommend using fresh herbs in cooking rather than essential oil.
