Our Favorite Woodsy Essential Oils + 3 Blend Recipes
You enjoy taking hikes through the mountains and hills, you feel more at peace in nature, you appreciate the beauty and timelessness of the woods and forests. Does this sound like you? If so, chances are you appreciate woodsy aromas as much as you enjoy a walk through the woods.
At Edens Garden, we love the natural aromas of essential oils, including woodsy ones! In honor of all the earthy, woodland-aroma lovers, we’ve curated some of our favorite woodsy oils and even came up with some blends that will allow you to enjoy these oils to the fullest.
Buddha Wood: An enticingly exotic oil, Buddha Wood essential oil has a subtle and incredibly balanced aroma: woodsy, mossy, and light leathery-smoky notes. Fans of woodsy and earthy aromas are sure to fall head over heels for this incredible oil.
Blue Cypress: In times of distress, Blue Cypress’ lightly sweet, smoky and woody aroma may help calm the mind. Like walking through a cool forest, this blend is therapeutic to both mind and body.
Douglas Fir: If you’re a fan of Christmas, this terpenic oil just might transport you to December. As the aroma of Douglas Fir permeates and meanders through the room, you’ll be filled with thoughts of breathing in fresh, mountain air.
Mountain Savory: Like the clean and refreshing air that we breathe while exploring the majestic nature of the mountains, Mountain Savory has a peppery and slightly sweet aroma.
Nootka Tree: Most describe Nootka Tree as having a pencil shaving or gasoline-like aroma. Its complex, rich aroma adds a unique component to masculine and earthy blends. Today, Nootka Tree is trending as a natural alternative to insect repellent and as a source of antioxidants.
